My wife and I wanted a fireplace in our living room and reached out to multiple contractors. We received insane quotes from what seemed to be greedy contractors, anywhere from $4,000-$12,000. I told my wife to allow me to try my hand at this project since I did have experience with carpentry before. This is how it turned out!
